Finish quality of this Marlin is better than any Marlin I've owned. I have had well over 50 over the years. I've had delivery for about two weeks, but only today has the weather been nice enough to go to my range. After 3 sight adjustments, I shot a 5 shot 1 1/2" group at 50 yards using a williams receiver sight, my loads and 78 year old eyes !!! I'm very pleased and want a 44 mag. model next.
The rifle has a beautiful finish and nice balance. The rear sight is slightly canted to the left. I will take it to my local gunsmith to have the rear sight dovetail leveled. I hadn't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I'm sure it will be accurate.

Have a 1980 vintage marlin 1894 that needed a buddy - the 2024 vintage Marlin 1894 filled the bill nicely. Transaction easy, no difficulties whatever and price was best I could find - thanks!!
