The FN SCAR 17S heavy carbine is the industry standard in gas-operated, semi-auto, modular rifles with more than 25 innovative upgrades for the U.S. commercial market. It features a 16.25 inch cold hammer-forged barrel and enhanced adaptability for the most demanding shooters while retaining the legendary SCAR look and performance.
This next generation SCAR includes a hydraulically buffered two-piece bolt carrier for reduced felt recoil and faster follow-up shots, suppressor compatibility with low backpressure designs, an extended receiver with M-LOK slots, and ambidextrous oversized controls. It has a telescoping side-folding polymer stock with adjustable cheekpiece, true AR grip compatibility, and a two-position adjustable gas regulator for improved reliability.
With its 20+1 capacity, 36 to 38.5 inch overall length, and 8.9 lb weight, the SCAR 17S delivers legendary performance tested to 16,000 rounds. The short-stroke gas piston system and modern upgrades make it ideal for tactical, competition, or precision shooting applications.
